A legendary (and slightly tipsy) clan from the picturesque village of Tramin in Südtirol. For centuries, these folks have argued that Südtirol should be part of Austria, or at least be its own world power—right up there with the good ol' US of A.
Once known as the Weissensteiners, their name was cleverly “Whitestonered” to throw off suspicious villagers. You see, they're now known as the biggest mafia in town. But forget horse heads in beds—these “mobsters” prefer to conquer their rivals by drinking them under the table. And where do they get this magical, knockout nectar? Why, they swipe it straight from the local Kellerei—where half of them conveniently happen to work!
When they're not stealthily “taste-testing” the finest vino, you can find them passionately debating border politics, bragging about how Südtirol should be its own “grate” country (emphasis on the wine grapes, of course), and planning their next great heist: outdrinking anyone foolish enough to challenge them.
So if you ever wander into Tramin, be warned: the Whitestoners might just invite you over for a friendly glass or two… and before you know it, you'll be seeing double, signing petitions for independence, and possibly forgetting which side of the Alps you're on!
Come raise a glass with the notorious Whitestoners—Tramin's most vino-victorious family. Prost! Or should we say, Cheers—in whichever country they finally decide to call home.
